London-based gaming software developer WagerWorks has announced that it has had a great year and will kick off 2009 by debuting two new ‘household’ titles at the upcoming International Gaming Expo (IGE).
The annual trade show is scheduled to take place from January 27 to 29 at London’s Earls Court Exhibition Centre and will see the International Game Technology (IGT) subsidiary unveil Dungeons And Dragons: Fortress Of Fortune and Battleship: Search And Destroy.
WagerWorks stated that Dungeons And Dragons: Fortress Of Fortune is based on the popular role-playing game and film while Battleship: Search And Destroy is an all-time favourite with fans of classic battle strategy titles. Attendees will also be given the chance to try them out with two Nintendo Wii games consoles on offer to winners.
“2008 was a successful year for WagerWorks and our business results reflected a positive step forwards,” said Oliver Lofthouse, Director and General Manager of IGT-UK Gaming and WagerWorks.
“Since joining in September, I have recognised the importance of combining top brands together with great game mechanics in order to deliver top performing games and this will continue to be our focus.
“IGE 2009 will be the platform to preview the latest of our games and launch the company towards greater success in the year ahead. I look forward to seeing new and existing customers on our stand at the show.”
WagerWorks stated that, as part of IGT, it has access to a broad catalogue of proven content. One of its major games, the MegaJackpots online wide-area progressive, features a reset jackpot valued at £1.5 million. In November, a player at Coral.co.uk won over two million pounds, the biggest win ever by a British bookmaking customer.
