Online poker players can now solve numerous problems including mis-clicks, missed moves and inaccurate betting by using a new wireless device launched in the UK this week by Poker Controls Limited.
The new Wireless Poker Controller from the British company was unveiled at the International Gaming Expo (IGE) 2009 in London earlier today and promises to revolutionise how the game of poker is played over the Internet.
Uniquely designed with patented play options, the Wireless Poker Controller features dedicated tools such as the Raise-O-Meter, which allows players to reach their desired bet amount with optimum speed and accuracy through the use of a pinpoint accurate dial. The unit also features easy-to-reach quick-bet buttons allowing players to stake two and three times the bet alongside a key for betting the pot and placing an all-in wager.
Other advantages include dedicated bet, check/call and fold buttons to reduce the chances of a player clicking the wrong move alongside table seating options, automatic blind posting and an instant lobby view button. The Wireless Poker Controller also has an emergency shutout switch should all else fail.
The Wireless Poker Controller allows players to move between multiple tables in-play through the use of special switching buttons clicked with the forefingers just like the L1/R1 buttons on a PlayStation controller. Unlike the current scenario that requires poker players to actively click on the game window they wish to control with their mouse, the Wireless Poker Controller allows competitors to flick left and right between game windows with lightning speed. The software highlights the table in play and locks out any moves on another table even if it comes to the front to prevent mis-clicks on the wrong table.
The unit comes fully loaded with a USB receiver, rechargeable battery pack and cable, software and drivers and should be available globally from March.
