World Series of Poker 2009 schedule announced
By Staff
Last year’s WSOP saw the best part of 100,000 people compete across 55 different events for a piece of a total prize pool of $180,000,000. Organisers are hoping that the 2009 incarnation will be just as – if not more – successful than any of its predecessors.

This year, organisers have scrapped rebuy events amid fears that wealthy entrants could buy a bracelet. They have been replaced with $3k and $5k events. In addition, a special one-off $40,000 buy-in event is being held to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the WSOP.
