A new US-based online racing company has been launched at Racing2Day.com to take advantage of the growing global betting trends in parimutuel racing pools.
Founded by Vincent Caldwell, a former racehorse owner and breeder that has worked in the betting industry since 1986, Racing2Day.com and its back-office systems were developed by PDMS Limited, a provider to the online betting and gaming sector of high-performance and cost-effective software.
Caldwell revealed that the business model for Racing2Day.com is poised to exploit the growing global betting trends in parimutuel racing pools because, unlike traditional sportsbetting using fixed odds, it provides a risk-free margin. He stated that online gaming sites in the US saw an eleven percent rise in unique visitors up to November, which equates to 16.1 million people each month, offering huge potential for Racing2Day.com. To attract these visitors, the new website aims to lead the way in terms of providing innovative racing content while also includes social elements such as expert bloggers and interactive forums.
Racing2Day.com was earlier granted an Account Deposit Wagering license to operate a parimutuel tote hub in Portland, Oregon, and is set to feature racing content from the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, South Africa and Asia. This will include high-profile events such as the Kentucky Derby, Breeders’ Cup, Prix De L’Arc Du Triomphe, English Derby and Dubai World Cup alongside premier thoroughbred and harness racing from America’s top tracks.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Vincent and his team again on another leading-edge venture” said Chris Gledhill, Managing Director for PDMS.
“We were not only impressed by the flexibility and scalability of PDMS’ Foundations software which is crucial for a new and rapidly expanding business venture but also their in-depth knowledge of the industry,” said Caldwell.
