Mahjong Time has signed a software licensing agreement with China’s 343 Sports Group that will see the two develop an online tournament-style four-player mahjong destination.
San Diego-based Mahjong Time develops online mahjong gaming software and turnkey solutions and is an official partner of the World Series Of Mahjong (WSOM). It revealed that the new site would offer mahjong under all popular rule sets including Chinese, Hong Kong and the its exclusive WSOM rules.
“Mahjong Time's robust mahjong gaming solution exceeded the expectations of the 343 Sports Group,” said William Sutjiadi, Chief Executive Officer for Mahjong Time.
“Mahjong Time's white-label solution gives companies such as 343 a truly turnkey platform that requires minimal integration with maximum results. Our mahjong games will increase several key metrics for 343 including revenue, user retention, advertising value and user site enjoyment. Signing of such an established sports information company proves our mahjong solution is adaptable to a variety of industries.”
343's site already offers Chinese-language sports content to a global audience. The company has comprehensive soccer coverage and real-time updates for numerous other sports while also focusing on community building with active blogs.
“Sports and entertainment are converging closer together,” said Leo Ma, Vice-President for 343.
“Mahjong Time's customisable gaming solution will complement the sports content of 343 and offer our community-focused user base a new choice for enjoying the site.
“Having a professional mahjong game available will offer additional value to our users while providing a steady revenue stream for our company. We are very excited to be working with Mahjong Time and look forward to a seamless integration and future site launch.”
