Thanks to the latest innovation from The New Football Pools, fans of soccer in the UK can now get together with friends, family and colleagues to set up their very own mini leagues offering the chance to win big prizes.
The owners of The New Football Pools, gaming operator Sportech, successfully re-launched the popular competition in August while introducing the Premier 10 and Footy 15 games. British footy fans can now launch their very own mini soccer league with a social networking component in order to play these games and have a higher chance of winning a prize.
The New Football Pools’ Mini Leagues is currently being offered on the websites of the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail newspapers, giving players the chance to win big as a syndicate for only two pounds. Half of this stake contributes to the wider pools pot while the remainder is shared between members of the syndicate.
“Football is still one of the biggest talking points in our day-to-day to lives and The New Football Pools offers everyone a chance to join in, give their views and play the games in a very interactive way,” said Ian Penrose, Chief Executive Officer for Sportech.
“With this new introduction of Mini Leagues, we see the pools continue its heritage of uniting football fans as the games are better played together. Where once syndicates in the factories would pool their money against the millions of other players, now fans and friends in offices and bedrooms will be able to compete directly against each other every week in their own private league.”
