Gamestec Leisure Limited, a leading player in the UK gaming and amusement machines sector, has announced the appointment of Chris Butler as its new Managing Director.
Leeds-based Gamestec is part of Danoptra Gaming Group and is one of the UK’s largest operators with over 2,000 employees providing services to some 40,000 machines.
Butler has more than 20 years of senior management experience in the gaming industry as an operator, manufacturer and retailer and has joined Gamestec from Punch Taverns where he served as Director of Machines and Vending.
“I’ve watched Gamestec’s progress over the past couple of years and have been impressed with how the management have developed the business so successfully,” said Butler.
“I join the company during exciting times for the UK games and amusement industry, which presents us with many challenges and opportunities. And, in many ways, it’s a home from home for me as 23 years ago I left Music Hire, which is now part of Gamestec. So, my career has come full circle.”
“Chris has a well seasoned perspective on our industry, which perfectly complements Gamestec’s needs, and he brings a great combination of vision and energy regarding our future business,” said Derek Lloyd, Chief Executive Officer for Danoptra.
“Chris will bring a further depth to the management team and will ensure that we remain on target with our long-term business plans.”
