By claire
Video game publisher Electronic Arts Inc. have said that it would begin providing access to a popular group of Internet games through the America Online portal of AOL Time Warner as well as its own website.

The 43 games from Pogo.com on offer for AOL subscribers include online versions of popular board games. Over half of the games offer a chance to win cash prizes. EA.com chief operating officer Erick Hachenburg said the cash prizes were not a form of gambling because the money comes from a jackpot and no wagers are made by players. Pogo also offers casino games like blackjack, poker and bingo and trivia, word and arcade games. Jackpots available range from $135.47 up to $1,623.50.
