Following its success earlier this year, leading online casino and poker site PokerStars.com is returning with the third instalment of its Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) and is offering satellite seats from as little as $2.22.
The action will kick off in Costa Rica at the Paradisius Playa Conchal on November 19 with a three-day $2,700 buy-in tournament.
From here, the LAPT will move on to the Manta Casino And Resort in Punta Del Este, Uruguay, for another three-day extravaganza beginning on February 24 with the buy-in set at $3,700. Last season, the Uruguayan tournament saw Norway‘s Karl Hevroy take home a handsome $283,500 with more of the same expected this time around.
Chile’s Enjoy Hotel And Casino in Vina Del Mar will host the third stop with a $2,700 buy-in event before the LAPT finishes at an, as yet, unannounced Argentinean location with a $5,200 buy-in tournament.
The second season of the LAPT proved to be the region’s largest series of live poker tournaments with over 1,000 players taking part. This created a total prize pool of over four million dollars and some of the biggest names in the game took part alongside numerous PokerStars.com qualifiers.
Satellites for the Costa Rica stop are running now and will award a prize package that includes the main event buy-in, hotel accommodation and money for expenses.
