Boss Media branches out

Boss Media could be about to extend its reach beyond the confines of the Internet. The Swedish casino software firm has announced that it is to extend its partnership with AB Svenska Spel, Scandinavia's biggest gaming company, to develop digital scratch cards, lotteries and other quick games - primarily for the Internet, but the cooperation may be extended to include other digital channels such as mobile telephones and digital TV.

Boss Media has already built Svenska Spel's Internet casino – - which is only for Swedish players.

'Svenska Spel is probably the most expert gaming operator in Europe. The fact that it is putting even more trust in Boss Media is of course great and very stimulating', says Peter Bertilsson, President and CEO of Boss Media.

Boss Media hope that such an important deal will bolster its reputation beyond the Internet, as the major gaming companies begin pursue a broader digital gaming portfolio. Recently, major media companies companies such as Sky TV and Orange have announced development plans for their own iTV and mobile casino games.

'We are very pleased with our cooperation with Boss Media and hope that this agreement will result in an even better gaming service on the Web,' says Mikael Franzen, Business Area Manger for Direktkanalen at Svenska Spel.
