Free online poker site PokerStars.net has announced that it will be sponsoring the upcoming Empire State Hold'em Championship in America and is celebrating by giving players the chance to win prize packages to its main event worth $4,000.
The main event of the Empire State Hold'em Championship will take place from August 14 to 18 at the Turning Stone Resort And Casino in Verona, New York, and feature a $2,500 buy-in open to all adult players.
Isle Of Man-licensed PokerStars.net revealed that its prize packages for the main event of the Empire State Hold’em Championship are available for players in North America and will include the buy-in alongside six nights of accommodation for two and travel expenses.
“There are free-to-enter satellites for the main event of the Empire State Hold’em Championship running now with prize packages up for grabs in each,” read a statement from PokerStars.net.
“To register, open the PokerStars.net lobby and click ‘events’ and then ‘special’.”
In addition, PokerStars.net revealed that its own sponsored professional player Vanessa Rousso will be hosting her Bigslick Boot Camp at the venue in upstate New York on August 13 from one o’clock in the afternoon local time. Players can win their entry into this event courtesy of the online poker site or buy-in directly via a special website at BigslickBootCamp.com.

“It's the perfect setting to run one of the Bigslick Boot Camps and I'm really excited to be coaching this session the day before the main event.”
