|Plans for the 10th Annual Southern Gaming Summit look set to make this years event better than ever. The summit is being held on the 7-8 May at the Coast Coliseum and Convention Centre in Biloxi.|
Announcements have been made confirming Dan Lee, president and chief executive officer of Pinnacle Entertainment Co, as the key speaker. He will be giving his address on 7th May. In addition two other major industry players will be taking part on a roundtable discussion on 8th May: Frank Fahrenkopf, president of the American Gaming Association, and Wally Barr, president and CEO of Park Place Entertainment.
Of course there’ll be far more than industry leaders at the event. Exhibits from over 150 companies are planned which will include everything from The US Playing Card Co. to the IGT slot machine manufacturers. On top of that there will be seminars to attend on issues of casino security, player marketing and roles of casinos in the community. There’s even a special celebration of the 10th anniversary of legalized gambling in Mississippi.
Several thousand people are expected to attend the conference this year. If you’re going along it might be wise to register early for the conference. Registration fee is $495. John Ferrucci, president of the Gulf Coast Gaming Association, which produces the trade show 'This is the most successful industry trade show outside of Las Vegas.'
