The Nevada State Senate Judiciary Committee has agreed to pursue a bill that would require “some public disclosure about activity in the private gaming salons operated by Nevada casinos for top-end patrons.”

Democrat Senator Terry Care, representing Las Vegas, has presented the bill and says that salons which operate out of the view of the general public should be required to disclose “some basic information about gaming winnings and number of visitors.”

Dennis Neilander, Nevada Gaming Control Board Chairman, had not made a commitment along these lines to Care or to other lawmakers in the 2001 legislative session.
