BoDog puts Costa Rican sportsbook license online
By staff
BoDog Sportsbook & Casino, who last month became one of the first international sportsbooks to pay the Costa Rican licensing fee, has made their Federal Documentation viewable online.

'We take great pride in being a leader in the industry,' said Rob Gillespie, BoDog President. 'As part of that we want our players, and potential players, to be able to see our license.'

The cost of the license was 16,000,000 Colones (Costa Rican currency) or the equivalent of $42,000 USD and covers BoDog for 2003.

'The Costa Rican Federal Government has been very supportive of our industry and our efforts,' said Gillespie, 'We were more than happy to show the same commitment to them that they have extended to us.'

Gillespie was also excited at the opportunity to show support for the maturing of the sportsbook industry that comes with the enhanced credibility of having a federal charter.

'Costa Rica is the premiere location for a sportsbook,' said Gillespie. 'They have established themselves as the number one outlet for American-style sportsbook operations.'
