Yell Fire in a Crowded Casino
By Natasha
Fire destroyed a southern Nevada casino early Tuesday morning leaving 200 employees out of work and the town of Pahrump one casino short and without a bowling alley.

Although the casino was fitted with a sprinkler system and firefighters were on the case, it wasn't enough to save the $13.5 million business.

Pahrump, 60 miles north of Las Vegas, is not only without its second oldest casino, but Mountain View Casino and Bowl provided the town’s only bowling alley.

Luckily no one was injured in the fire, however firefighters had a near miss when the roof collapsed around them.

While the damage is estimated at US dollars 13.5million, this does not include the cash that was inside the casino at the time of the fire.

Co-owner Debbie Brooks has said the casino will be rebuilt. But until then it looks like the town of Pahrump will either have to go to Casino #2, drive to Vegas or get connected and play online.
