|Former Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs Kevin Gover will be speaking at the World Gaming Congress and Expo, which takes place October 15th-17th this year.|
Gover, who was appointed by President Bill Clinton in 1997, and was the first Native American to hold the post, left the position in January and now concentrates on his law practice specialising in federal law relating to Indians and Indian Tribal law.
Gover will be part of a panel discussing Indian gaming, one of the hot issues at this years conference. The discussion will take place on the last day of the WGCE, and is expected to take place at approximately 10.15am.
Other panellists at the discussion include Renee Ann Cramer, California State University, Long beach and Deron Marquez, Tribal Chairman, San Manuel band of Mission Indians.
The importance of Indian Gaming within the industry is something reflected by the amount of seminars planned at the WGCE. Discussions on the subject range from the importance of public relations in Indian gaming to the political situation of the Indian gaming under current government.
