ukbetting launches interactive betting on Test Cricket
By paul
Test Cricket, with its 5 day matches and less than frenetic pace, is not the fastest moving game around. So ukbetting’s launch of an interactive betting product for the sport – the first of its kind – could be just what is needed to prevent couch cricketers from lapsing into narcolepsy.

The new product enables punters to bet on a range of events during the course of a five day cricket match as the action unfolds.

Cricket games lasting five days, known as 'Test Matches', are a common format for international cricket matches and this product launch follows on from the successful launch of a one day cricket version of the SportXction(TM) software during the Cricket World Cup in February this year.

The new product was launched for the second of two games being played between England and Zimbabwe. Unfortunately, Zimbabwe didn’t prove to be the ideal opposition for a showcase , slumping to an innings defeat within 3 days.

The English cricket team will play in further Test Matches, against the visiting South African team, in July and August.

Many of the markets to be offered during Test Cricket are similar to those offered on the one day version of the game, with players able to bet on the outcome of individual incidents as the event unfolds; a service unavailable elsewhere for cricket fans. However, the five day game of cricket is sufficiently different from the one day version to have required a new product to be developed.
