Prima Poker Sends Players to Grand Prix de Paris

Prima Poker, the world’s largest online poker network, has taken its two satellite winners - ShipDa Cheeze and HandSoLow, to play in the World Poker Tour’s famous Grand Prix de Paris. The two winners won the Prima Poker Grand Prix de Paris satellite competition, which guaranteed both winners a 10,000 Euro buy-in at the Grand Prix de Paris, round trip flights, accommodations and 500 Euros spending money. The tournament took place at the exclusive Aviation Club in Paris, and the competition was tough - the first night was cut from 96 players down to 63. Both Prima Poker winners played the first night successfully, but were eliminated on the second night of the tournament. Prima Poker players have become a familiar sight on the international poker circuit: satellites are run regularly for the popular real world tournaments and Prima Poker winners are awarded buy-ins to these exciting events.

For both players, this was their first time ever participating in a land -based tournament. ShipDaCheeze was out of the tournament at about 3:00am on the second night, and HandSoLow was up about $15,000 before he bravely called a flop and lost out to a great hand. Though both players thoroughly enjoyed the exciting opportunity to play at the Grand Prix de Paris, they agree on the benefits of online poker: “This was a totally new experience for me. I prefer playing online as opposed to a land-based casino. I love to play online at Prima Poker where I have the convenience of playing in my own home, at any time of day, with no need to travel to and from a casino. I can play three times the number of hands online than I can in one night in a casino”, commented HandSoLow. ShipDa Cheeze concurs: “Playing online at Prima Poker is great. I never have to wait for a table, the chat is fantastic, and the prizes such as this chance to come to Paris are amazing. I am truly appreciative of all that Prima Poker has done for me.”

Spokesperson for Prima Poker, Jennifer Nemirovsky, commented: “These days, Prima Poker offers our players not just the best online multiplayer poker experience, but also the chance to play at the most exciting real world poker tournaments. Playing in these world famous tournaments is a once in lifetime opportunity for our players – and they can win it by playing at the hottest online tables. With software powered by Microgaming, card shuffling reviewed by Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and a state of the art collusion detection system, Prima Poker is quickly becoming the players’ favorite.”
