|You might be surprised if you take a visit to the Imperial Palace Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. Especially if you believe Elvis is alive. Probably more so if you’re Madonna. They’ve recently added a new twist to their casino. They’ve replaced some of their dealers with famous celebrities, living or dead, fictional or real.|
Every Thursday to Sunday, between 6pm and 4am, if you take a visit to their Legends Pit you’ll find celebrity dealers at the tables. They’ve got doppelgangers of all your favourite celebrities including Elvis, Madonna, Marilyn Monroe, even Zorro. For some reason they have Barbra Striesand, Rod Stewart and Pasty Cline as well – but that could be a typo.
No Rod and Emu then? Apparently the selection will be slightly limited because according to Imperial Palace it’s a bit hard to find either people who made a living out of impersonating celebrities who can deal, or find dealers who happened to look like celebrities.
Craig Garland, Imperial Palace casino manager: “It's quite an ordeal for any entertainer to learn to deal or for any dealer to learn the ins and outs of show biz. It was a challenge to bring these two worlds together, but we feel it was necessary to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for our guests.'
Celebrity impersonator dealers. Whatever next? How about mud wrestling co-ed dealers? That’ll get the punters in the house and they won’t be able to keep their minds on the game either.
