|Gaming software giant Electronic Arts has revealed plans to provide an exclusive community for online gamers. Club Pogo, named for whatever reason, is to debut by the end of the month. Anyone who already loves the standard site, Pogo.com, may know. Those who join the service get access to members’ only games and a set of handsome VIP features.|
If you like online gaming you’ll be able to check out the site, dedicated to folks like yourself, on a 14-day free trail. After that though you’re going to have to pay $4.99 per month or just $29.99 a year.
Lesley Mansford, EA Online Vice President, explains why you should pay when you can already join online gaming communities for free: 'Every day, roughly three million people log onto Pogo.com and spend an average of one hour playing our games. Club Pogo is a service that will appeal to dedicated players who want even more of what they love on the Pogo.com site.'
So what do they offer? On top of the roughly 50 games, Pogo.com provides the new club service an exclusive selection of games with better graphics and sound. You’ll also get sneak previews of games that will eventually feed down to the standard site.
Pogo.com already offers quite a variety of online games. They’ve got everything from normal computer games to stuff that might tickle the fancy of online gamblers. This includes the stunning Double Jackpot spinner that spits out winnings as high as $4999! Check out the free trial for a quick spin. By the way, when was the last time EA made a truly revolutionary game? It seems like all they produce these days is finely tuned versions of games that have been around for years.
