London, UK – August 18, 2003: NDS, a News Corporation company and a leading provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV, enables delivery of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ to multi-platforms across multiple middleware within Israel. The application, delivered by EMTV, providers of interactive direct marketing services, uses NDS’s Value@TV™ interactive infrastructure and Production Suite.

Interactive solutions crafted using the NDS Value@TV technology will work across multiple digital platforms irrespective of the underlying middleware. The ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ show has been deployed in Israel on cable and satellite platforms that use NDS Core™ and OpenTV middleware.

Gadi Tirosh, NDS VP Product Marketing said: “The launch of this new interactive application across multi-platforms and multiple middleware is a testament to NDS’s expertise in deploying complex applications over very different broadcast platforms and middleware. NDS is unique in this capability.”

This launch follows several other successful multi-platform deployments including:

· QVC on Sky digital and Telewest cable services in the UK

· MTV Europe Sky digital and Telewest cable in the UK

· Music Choice Europe on Sky digital and Digital+ in Spain

“NDS believes that the ability to transfer interactive applications across different platforms and middleware is a key issue for channel providers that want to deploy interactive applications in diverse markets” added Tirosh. “Operators, channels and consumers will experience a seamless transition from platform to platform, middleware to middleware.”
