Profits Up - but not because of Website Games

The New Zealand based Casino operator Sky City Entertainment Group has proposed a final dividend of 26 cents and reported full-year profits of $107 million, up 88% compared to the last financial year. The total payout to share holders for the year is 67 cents a share.

Sky City's results matched analysts’ forecasts of $95-$105 million pre-abnormals. The Casino is expected to open a new hotel in Auckland scheduled for April 2005 and continue its revenue growth.

Although Sky City Entertainment is not an online gaming operator, the group is a leader in New Zealand Leisure and offers learn-to-play no-money casino games and other interactive gaming applications on its website The site also offers instructions on more exotic games like Tai Sai.
