Big backing for ICE as 67 exhibitors increase presence

Casino suppliers from throughout the world are putting their full weight behind January’s ICE show in London. The latest data released by the ICE organisers shows that 67 exhibitors have increased their stand space year-on-year, with 12 international companies expanding their presence by 100 per cent or more.

The company showing the biggest year-on-year growth is renowned roulette wheel manufacturer Cammegh Limited. The UK-based company has demonstrated its faith in ICE by expanding its presence by a staggering 519 per cent, from 21 square metres (225sq.ft.) in 2003 to 130sq.m. (1,400sq.ft.) in 2004.

Another exhibitor demonstrating a massive increase is Eurocoin, one of Europe’s top suppliers of components, currency and security products to the gaming sector. Sales Director, Colin Veitch confirmed the company’s backing for ICE 2004 stating: “We have taken an 80 square metre (860sq.ft) stand which represents a 400 per cent increase on 2003. Obviously you only make this scale of investment if you are confident in what you have to offer as a company and the business/marketing credentials of the exhibition.

“We have an excellent, growing product portfolio and there are significant opportunities for expansion, not least with the forthcoming deregulation in the UK and new eastern European markets opening. A significant development is the number of gaming machine manufacturers we are doing business with. AT ICE we are getting almost as many enquiries from casino machine manufacturers as we do from casino operators – which of course is extremely encouraging.”

Veitch added: “I understand that Eurocoin is not alone in taking significantly more space and I believe that this trend augurs particularly well for the buyers who travel to London in January who will be exposed to a breadth of casino products and services the like of which has never been seen before.”

The exhibitors which have increased their space by 100 per cent or more are as follows:

Cammegh (UK) 519%

Eurocoin (UK) 400%

IGT Europe (Netherlands) 339%

Gold Club (Slovenia) 293%

Signs 4U (Netherlands) 220%

Gaming Support (Netherlands) 171%

Patir-Design and Production (Germany) 167%

Interblock (Slovenia) 138%

ACG (UK) 122%

DEQ Casinos (Canada) 116%
