Churchill Downs Incorporated has resumed normal operations after the suspension of all CDI live racing and off track wagering in sympathy with those who lost their lives at the World trade Centre and the Pentagon.

Live racing resumed yesterday at Arlington Park in Arlington heights, and at the Calder Race Course in Miami, and Hoosier Park in Anderson. Simulcast wagering has also resumed at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, Calif.; Ellis Parkin Henderson, KY.; and at the company’s OTB locations in Kentucky, Illinois and Indiana.

“Churchill Downs Incorporated and its employees are profoundly saddened by the tragic events of this week and join the rest of the nation in mourning those whose lives were lost or forever changed by the horrible attack on our country, said John R. Long, CDI’s executive vice president and COO. “Our nation’s leaders have urged the business community to return to normal operations, and our company and it’s employees stand willing to do our part.”
