Paper Bag Casino Bandit
By Earl Williams
The Clarion-Ledger reports that Tunica County police are searching for a man who “walked into the Sheraton Casino, told a cage cashier he had a gun and demanded the employee fill a paper bag with cash.”

Sheriff’s deputies and the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol arrived “within three minutes of the robbery,” at 11:45 P.M. on Monday, but the suspect had escaped with his bag full of money and his alleged weapon.

The paper bag bandit was last seen getting away in a white SUV. One witness thought the bandit had been wearing a wig under his ball cap. No better description of the bandit was offered, but Crime Stoppers of Tunica is offering a reward. Call the Crime Stoppers hotline: (662) 910-0400.
