|Online gaming didn’t get the headline in Palermo Sicily when the police seized illegal video poker machines from an Internet café and from other locations in a raid coincidently codenamed operation “Hacker”. |
The operation began when disgruntled Sicilian wives began calling the police to report their husbands spending too much time, and too much money, away from home. As it turns out, the Italian police found 158 video poker machines retooled to accept hundreds of Euros in bets rather than the 50 cents prescribed by the law.
During the raid on the Internet café, police not only seized the illegal video poker machines, but took two pc’s a modem, documents and printers and a cool 6263 Euros in cash.
