Web-kiosks now serve online lottery games

Circle K convenience stores has launched a new self-serve lottery feature on selected ZapLink web-based kiosks in its California stores. Its customers can now play their favorite online lottery games and buy lottery tickets online at ZapLink e-services kiosks at select stores.

Circle K claims to be the first retailer in the U.S to offer the service. Placing the lottery function on ZapLink web-kiost improves the gaming experience and eliminates the need for lottery customers to go through a cashier to purchase online tickets says the company.

‘Playing online lottery games on the ZapLink kiosk provides players with a fun exciting playing alternative,' says Scott Templeton, innovations group manager, Circle K. Besides all fun and lottery games, customers can pay utility bills, and purchase pre-paid telecommunications service besides access information.

The online lottery ticket service was created for Circle K by Info Touch Technologies, GTECH and the California Lottery.
