Action Gaming vs. Alliance Gaming
By sam
Action Gaming confirmed yesterday that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Alliance Gaming Inc. regarding the ‘Multi Play Poker’ game currently being marketed and sold by Alliance Gaming’s operating unit, Bally Gaming.

Action Gaming alleges that the game is a wilful infringement of Action Gaming’s multi-hand poker patents that cover Triple Play Poker ™ and other games. This multi-hand concept has become one of the most successful poker games on the market, and in 1999 Action Gaming successfully asserted its patents in a similar case against Silicon Gaming concerning their Multidraw Poker™ game.

“I was a struggling casino game inventor prior to the success of Triple Play Poker™, which I licensed exclusively to International Game Technology,” said Ernest Moody, president of Action Gaming and inventor of ‘Triple Play Poker™.’ “I am disappointed that Bally Gaming is attempting to capitalise on my success by infringing on my intellectual property.”
