|Zvika Greenboim has announced the launch of PlaySys.com, a website “providing a guide to serious gamblers on where they can get casino ‘comps’ in return for their casino patronage.” Greenboim said the company has signed deals with “dozens of casinos to provide information on special offers, packages and freebies.”|
The PlaySys.com revenue model is based on casinos which have “agreed to pay the company commissions based partly on the losses of gamblers who were attracted to their tables by the website.”
“This fills a big gap in the gaming industry,” PlaySys.com CEO Larry Woolf continued, “It helps casino executives be heroes to their customers.”
PlaySys.com went on to say that the site is “designed for gamblers who bet at an average of $20 per round at blackjack, roulette or other table games, with an emphasis on larger bettors who travel to casinos. However, PlaySys.com does offer more modest inducements to smaller bettors.”
So far, PlaySys.com serves about 60 casinos worldwide, including the Tropicana, Stardust, Stratosphere and Venetian in Las Vegas, Golden Nugget and Les Ambassadeurs Club in London as well as others in Australia, Hungary, Greece, Italy, Malta, Slovenia, South Africa, Romania and elsewhere.
Manager Greenboim also said the company “expects revenues of $15 million in its first year with projections of $90 million by 2003.”
PlaySys.com plans an initial public offering on Nasdaq or in Europe in June or July of 2004.
