Screen Legend Arnold Schwarzenegger is suing International Game Technology (IGT) for $20 million, alleging that the company marketed slot machines that feature his voice and likeness as the ’Terminator’ from the famous film of the same name, without his consent.

The Lawsuit, filed earlier this month in Superior Court, says that “(Schwarzenegger) is particularly circumspect to avoid using his name, likeness or image for certain industries such as gambling.”

Attorney Marty Singer justified the high figure of $20 million, saying that Schwarzenegger has “turned down offers as high as $20 million in the United States, so if someone uses his likeness for a product without his authorisation, then he should get paid a fee commensurate to what he has previously been offered.”

IGT Spokesman Rick Sorenson mentioned that while the machine “might have been in development, it was never released.”
