|In the presence of Hilary Clinton, GoodLot (www.GoodLot.co.uk ) presented the granddaughter of Franklin D. Roosevelt, Anna E. Roosevelt, with a cheque of $10,000 at the Roosevelt Four Freedom Awards weekend in Hyde Park, New York. Goodlot supports the awards and charity. The 2002 prize was awarded to Nelson Mandela, GoodLot’s first ambassador.|
Anna is also an Ambassador of GoodLot, the online charity gaming site. Anna has chosen that the donation will benefit an interactive learning project on freedom and human rights, following the footsteps of her grand parents and their establishment of the United Nations.
Ms. Roosevelt comments: “The new venture GoodLot promises to be an extraordinarily successful means of charitable giving, with a significant percentage of the gross proceeds going directly to charity. I admire greatly what GoodLot is setting out to do.”
She received the cheque at the Franklin & Eleanor Roosevelt Institute in Hyde Park, in front of US Senators and Congress, peace makers, and the Roosevelt families.
The Four Freedom Award are based on the four essential freedoms that were defined by the late US president Franklin D. Roosevelt.
The Four Freedom Laureates 2003 include Senators George Mitchell and Robert Byrd.
Pulitzer Prize winner Arthur Schlesinger also received an Honorary Award.
