|Ladbrokes like other landbased casinos is facing an onslaught of competition from online casinos.|
To tackle this the company has kicked off a reported six-figure Internet marketing campaign, to draw customers to point their browser to its online casino, Ladbrokescasino.com.
The 10-day 'Casino Freeplay' campaign, which kicked off on the 19th of November, is expected to rake in more than 55 million impressions or pageviews, with the ads ranging from standard banners to buttons and skyscrapers, with flash and animated content. It is expected to end the campaign on 28th of November.
Ladbrokes is heavily advertising in all the major portals like Yahoo, Freeserve and Tiscali, and other online gaming sites such as Lucky Surf and Daily Draw. According to the company, the new campaign would give new customer registrants the opportunity to play their favourite casino game online every day for free for a period of 10 days, with more than 1,500 prizes up for grabs. Prizes include gift vouches from Amazon.com, Hilton hotel, brand new Mini, or a trip to Las Vegas, and with a mega-prize thrown in - the new BMW Z4.
The campaign is being planned and bought by the Casino's lead online agency, Unique Digital. which has been the acccount manager since the last 15 months, and has already run over 11 individual campaigns for Ladbrokes.
'I believe the promotion will cause a stir in the rapidly growing online gambling market, by giving anyone new to online casinos the opportunity to try it out free for a week and win prizes. If you're remotely intrigued about gambling online then it's a no-brainer,' says Keith Oliver, Marketing Director of Ladbrokes eGaming.
