|Due to events in New York a few weeks ago, uncertainty now rules the Las Vegas strips as well as other regions of the gaming industry. During the inaugural Global Gaming Expo (G2E), those present will hear about upcoming challenges and the opportunities of the future in one comprehensive program.|
The American Gaming Association (AGA) and Reed Exhibition Companies organize G2E. It is to be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, October 1-3, 2001. Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jnr., President and CEO of the AGA, said, “We designed the program at G2E to be very current and state-of-the-art, and we are very pleased o be able to address these important issues in a very up-to-date context. Because G2E is the only show by the industry and for the industry, we are able to respond to changes very quickly”.
G2E aims to cover the industry like no other conference has, and has enlisted the help of nearly 500 expert speakers to take part in over 100 sessions. Some of the sessions include:
“The Washington Way: Federal Proposals on Gaming”
“Diversity in the Industry: Why it Makes Sense”
“Media and the Industry: Crafting Your Message”
“Responsible Gaming Research: Results for the Real World”
“The California Revolution: What Does it Mean for Everyone Else”
“The Roe of the Regulator: Do They Go Too Far or Not Far Enough”
Speakers and panellists will include former Senator Richard Bryan, former Nevada Governor Bob Miller, Kit Turner, Corporate Vice President of Mandalay Resort Group, Chuck DiRocco, Publisher of Gaming Today, Steve Donoughue, Managing Director of The Gaming Consultancy Limited and Nelson Westrin, Executive Director of Michigan Gaming Control Board.
