|GMTV's website, www.gm.tv, has launched a new gaming sub-site, GMTV Instant Win Games. The site is built and operated by online gaming specialists Gamesys, and goes live this week. The Instant Win Games sub-site is part of |
the Win Prizes section of gm.tv.
The site gives GMTV's users - 70% of whom are women - the chance to play a wide range of online games, either accruing prize points to put towards prizes such as DVD players, champagne, chocolates, digital cameras and
weekend breaks or playing for Instant Win cash prizes.
GMTV Instant Win Games will be promoted through permanent menu links, banner, tower and tile ads throughout the gm.tv site and in the weekly newsletter sent out to nearly 80,000 GMTV fans.
Games on the site include old favourites such as scratchcards, slot machines, lottos, number and card games, including many games popular with female players such as What a Girl Wants, Hi-Lo and Shopping Spree, plus topical games such as Rugby Hero, where players have to predict whether a player will score a conversion or not. The selection of games will be refreshed regularly, to maintain a high level of interest for players. The games can be played for free to accrue prize points, or pay-for-play to win cash prizes.
Gamesys, who have built the site for GMTV, and who will manage and update the site on their behalf, are one of the leading specialists in designing and running online gaming sites. They have also designed sites for Channel 4, Littlewoods, FHM and Big Brother. Gamesys pay out over £1 million in prizes every week via their sites.
Gareth Herincx, Editor of the GMTV website, said:
'Competitions are a big hit with our users, and we're convinced that the new gaming sub-site will prove to be very popular. We're really happy with the look and feel of the site, plus the variety of instant win games on offer.'
