British newspaper, The Daily Telegraph, has added a new section to its website that allows readers to play from a showcase of online games including slot machines and lottery and card games., players earn points, which are then converted into prize draw entries for top quality prizes.

Online gaming developer Gamesys built the sub-site which also has a community chat room where players can compare wins and strategies. Gamesys have won contracts to develop gaming platforms for, amongst others, Channel 4, Littlewoods, FHM and Talksport, an indication just how far iGaming is permeating into mainstream culture.

In 1994 The Telegraph was the first British National to go online and now claims to have 2.8 million unique on-line readers. Presumably they are hoping that sports.telegraph will increase readership even further.
