Telegraph.co.uk, the online site of London’s Daily Telegraph newspaper, has launched a new instant wins games area within its subsidiary online site, www.sport.telegraph.co.uk. Gamesys, have build the new games area and will be responsible for its operation.

Visitors to www.telegraph.co.uk will be able to play “a wide range of online games, earning points which they can convert into prize draw entries for DVD players, football shirts, digital cameras, weekend breaks and other prizes. Players can also join in community chat rooms with others on the site, comparing notes on strategies and recent wins.” Onsite games include slot machines, lotto, number games and card games. The section will also offer Rugby Hero, a game in which players face the challenge of predicting whether a player will score a conversion or not. The Telegraph game area will also offer Beat The Keeper, “a game for football fans to try to score penalty kicks.”

Other sports games will be added shortly, the newspaper’s press release said. And the games “can be played for free to accrue prize points, or pay-to-play basis to win cash prizes.”
