|Over the Christmas holidays the Trident Group of online gaming venues collaborated with its players and made a $1,000 donation to charity. |
Players at the King Neptune's (www.kingneptunescasino.com) , Trident Lounge (www.tridentloungecasino.com) and VegasUSA (www.vegasusacasino.com) online casinos responded to an invitation to nominate a charity of their choice for inclusion in a draw for the $1, 000.
After good online responses to the offer, on December 28, The National Council on Child Abuse and Family Violence was elected to win the donation.
The National Council on Child Abuse and Family Violence (NCCAFV) is dedicated to the prevention of the abuse of partners, children, or the aged, by people with gambling addiction problems. The organization has served all fifty US States, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Isles for the last 20 years and promotes public awareness about the abuse to others by those with gambling problems.
Many celebrities, lead by television personality Oprah Winfrey, have backed the NCCAFV, for example, in such programs as “Children Should Be Seen And Not Hurt.”
The NCCAFV has also formed the International Forum for Child Welfare in Geneva, Switzerland. .
Trident spokesperson Scott Gaines said, “We could not have picked a better charity than this one, focused as it is on preventing the physical and mental abuse of those with only a limited capability to defend themselves. The NCCAFV gives practical advice as well as campaigning publicly against this evil and has our full support.”
