|The Isle of Man (IOM) has received a facelift and is courting iGaming businesses with a well-planned and sensibly-regulated new approach to the industry. While they are still a highly-regulated jurisdiction, they have agreed that some of their early iGaming policies were not commercially-friendly to iGaming businesses.|
Having learned their lessons the hard way, the IOM is demonstrating that it is indeed serious about attracting iGaming businesses, and has completed a serious overhaul on their iGaming policy. The former $2 million surety bond required by each operator has been replaced with a simple requirement for insurance coverage for all player bets, and operators are now able to make changes without having to wait for government approval. The Isle of Man is counting on its solid bandwidth, solid reputation and its unique position in Europe to act as the cornerstones in its iGaming revival.
