|The resignation of Brownell Combs II and Matthew Stasior means that there is no longer any U.S representation on the World Gaming Board of Directors. Their replacements are more likely to come from Europe, as the company undertakes a search to find suitable candidates with legal or corporate finance experience.|
The company announced the opening of their corporate headquarters last month in London, England, a decision made with the aim of concentrating on World Gaming’s presence in Europe.
Fred Hazell, chairman of the board, said, “The company would like to thank them (Coombs and Stasior) for their contribution over the last 18 months. The decision by Commbs and Stasior to leave the board was consistent with the company’s desire to focus on strengthening its presence in Europe, Asia and South America.”
World Gaming has been the subject of a massive management overhaul in the past months as Mike Aymong seeks to rebuild the company after the Starnet Investigation. The company recently announced their intention to launch casino games on pocket computers powered by Sona.
