|Alliance Gaming Corp. has announced that the Nevada Gaming Commission has given final game theme approval for the Bally Gaming and Systems’ new Popeye wide-area progressive video slot machine. The approval was gained after a vote, which was won 4-0.|
The decision of the Commission comes fourteen days after the Nevada Gaming Control Board unanimously recommended that the Popeye theme should be approved. The game software has already been submitted to the Control Board and approval is expected in December.
Popeye, which is already in play in the Californian Native American market, is the video wide-area progressive of Bally Gaming. Popeye joins Betty Boop™, Blondie® and Millionaire 777s™ as games on the Thrillions® wide-area progressive system, with a progressive jackpot that resets at $100,000.
