|BetWWTS.com has taken the online betting on the upcoming US election one step further. Nodding to the fact that the election is likely to be won according to the outcome in some of the more (politically) undecided states, bets are now being taken for the individual result in each of these states. Punters can now place bets on which candidate will win in each of these states, as well as being able to still bet on the overall result of the election.|
In a direct inversion of how odds were placed in June, BetWWTS is now listing Kerry as favourite with odds at 10/13, (which translates into winning US$10 for every US$13 bet), while Bush is now offered at 1/1 or even money, (so US$10 for every US$10 bet). Towards the end of June these positions were reversed with Bush being offered at 10/13 and Kerry offered at even money.
The site has named 22 states as those which are “swinging” in the election. Currently according to the site Kerry is tipped as winning 13 of these sites, while Bush is favoured in only six. Three states are not currently being called as it is considered to close to predict. These three states are offered at even odds for both candidates.
