Bet365 offering odds on Cricket World Cup
By abigail
Bet365 are now offering odds on the outcome of the cricket World Cup. The tournament will be held in September in England, with odds being offered taking into account the recently announced draw of the four pools of play.

The tournament is structured so that there are four pools of teams, each holding three teams. This means that only one team from each pool can qualify for the semi-finals- important to know for punters, as some pools hold more than one of the likely-to-succeed teams. The highest performing team of each pool will progress to the semi-finals, then of course, the winners of those two matches will meet each other in the final.

The pools are Pool A: Australia, NZ and USA; Pool B: South Africa, Bangladesh, West Indies; Pool C: India, Pakistan, Kenya and Pool D: England, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe.

One semi final (played on 17 September) will be between the leading teams of Pool A and D, the second on 18 September will be between the winners of Pool B and C. At the moment Australia are listed as favourites to win the Cup, currently offered at 11/8, South Africa and India are then equal seconds at 11/2, followed by England at 17/2, Pakistan at 8/1 and New Zealand and Sri Lanka equal at 10/1. The odds are also determined bearing in mind the opposition faced within any teamís pool. For anyone wanting to take a true risk for a potentially spectacular return, Bangladesh and USA are the attractive options offered at 1000/1 and 2500/1 respectively.
