|Intertops.com is opening another interesting book- this time odds are being offered on which head coach will be sacked first during the new US NFL season. The website is fast developing a reputation for hosting bets on some interesting topics, and this current offering revolving around potential sackings is the latest.|
Last year Dan Reeves won the dubious honour, and now Intertops are taking bets on who will be his 2004 counterpart. Current favourite to go according to the odds, is Miamiís head coach Dave Wannstedt- offered at the moment at 9/2. These odds are affected largely the early season draw facing the Miami team, with the bookmakers at Intertops thinking that the tough early games will perhaps see the early exit of the Miami coach.
Following him, all at 6/1, are Dennis Erickson, Jim Haslett and Marty Scottenheimer. Again the odds are decided taking into account the states of the teams they are responsible for, their recent performance history and the games coming up for them early in the season.
The betting is open until the Superbowl for this season. Mike Martz is also ahead in the odds offered at 8/1, then followed by Butch Davis at 10/1, Mike Tice at 11/1 and Herman Edwards at 14/1. Those considered to be pretty safe in their jobs for the season include: Andy Reid, Brian Billick, Jeff Fisher and Tony Dungy are all given at 50/1, and Bill Belichick is at the longest available odds at 66/1.
