Women’s Poker Club launches the Fresh Poker Faces league
By abigail
The Women’s Poker Club is hosting a new league, launching this month. Named the Fresh Poker Faces league, this is a new tournament-based way for women to play poker, or for them to simply develop their skills and to learn the rudiments of poker. There will be bi-weekly tournaments, designed to aid players in learning strategies to employ in a game.

There will be more experienced players from the poker club present in each tournament, enabling the less experienced players to ask them questions, and learn as they play. The tournaments are played for fun, but the leading players of the tournaments will be awarded prizes each month,. The ultimate goal for players in this league is to graduate into playing into the more mainstream tournaments already featured on the site.

Another service to be made available to members is the facility to take online classes. The classes will be taught by experienced players in a variety of poker rooms, with the aim of teaching players a variety of skills in different poker games. This is an additional service designed to compliment the existing mentoring system the club already provides. The games of poker covered include, Hold ‘Em, Omaha hi lo, 7-card stud and Pai Gow.
