Bill Huntley, President of Scientific Games International, a subsidiary of Scientific Games Corporation, has announced that the company is to provide an advanced instant ticket management and accounting system and a new AEGIS™ on-line lottery control games management system to the Atlantic Lottery Corporation of Canada.

The contract, the result of a competitive bid, is believed to be worth at least $5.3 in value. The Atlantic Lottery provides lottery services for the New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador. Installation and testing of the system will take place throughout 2002. The system is expected to enter service by March 2003.

Vice president Information Technology for the Atlantic Lottery Corporation, Pierre LaPlante commented, “We need the latest technology in order to manage more and more kinds of games, so the AEGIS open architecture will let us introduce whatever new software we will need.”

Huntley added: “SGI’s Gaming Management Control System™ is among the most versatile systems available today, well suited to growing operations like the Atlantic Lottery Corporation. Lotteries worldwide use it to keep track of retailers’ inventory, and deliveries, subscription systems, licensing, tax reporting, games reporting and control, financial management, claims management and marketing communications.”
