|Stanley Ho has reportedly pledged -to the government of Macau- a guaranteed 10,000 jobs and new investment in a theme park if the government grants him one of three casino licenses being bid upon by 21 potential casino operators.|
This liense would secure the Ho casino empire in Macau, which has been operating as a monopoly since 1937.
Ho sweetened the deal by offering to improve the wages for his existing 10,000 employees, and even spur the development of a new fishing and cultural villiage. Of course pending a favorable outcome and decision from the Macau gaming board.
The government has made no final decision on the outcome of these 3 licenses, and promises that the decision as to the recipients of the licenses will be made fairly, and will be based predominantaly on the strength and experience of the operators.
Stanley Ho is still, of course, offering the revolutionary www.drho.com online casino which uses real dealer avatars in its games. Recently, Ho has added a “Lite” version of his games powered by Boss Media software.
