|FUN Technologies, provider of person-to-person skill gaming and exchange-betting technology, has announced that its subsidiary, SkillJam, has entered into a definitive agreement with Inspired Broadcast Networks to become Inspired’s back-end provider of online skill-gaming technology.|
Inspired is the digital arm of leisure giant Leisure Link, the UK’s largest manager of public-space gaming and entertainment machines, with nearly 90,000 machines in over 25,000 leisure retail venues. SkillJam will power Inspired’s online skill-gaming offering, and also offer SkillJam’s skill-gaming content through Inspired’s network of 8,000 UK ‘itbox’ terminals. Additionally, the two companies will look at working together on Inspired’s mobile opportunities, as well as a number of other channel and cross-selling opportunities.
Lorne Abony, Chief Executive Officer of FUN, commented, ‘We are excited about our partnership with Inspired Broadcast Networks, and believe that our online skill-gaming products are an ideal fit with their offerings.’
Richard Weil, President of FUN, added, ‘Moreover, this new destination gaming channel represented by Inspired signifies an enormous expansion opportunity for FUN, and fits nicely with our strategy of creating a more varied, efficient gaming experience for our customers.’
‘SkillJam was a natural choice as the back-end provider for our online skill-game offering,’ commented Luke Alvarez, joint CEO of Inspired Broadcast Networks, ‘The key measures of its liquidity—tournament closing time, number of tournaments served, payout size, and jackpot size—made it abundantly clear that SkillJam is the right partner for Inspired, and we look forward to working together.’
