The PGA Tourís elite will descend upon Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia today to prepare for Thursdayís 1:10 p.m. start of the 2005 Presidentís Cup. favors the home team, listing the US team as a 5-9 bet to win its fourth Presidentís Cup trophy. Odds on the International squad are set at 3-2.

ďIn light of the tie at the last Presidentís Cup with Tiger Woods and Ernie Els playing into the night, and the core of the rosters remaining the same, I anticipate a tight match,Ē says Peter Childs, Odds Maker, ďEls wonít be teeing up for the International team this year, but Vijay has been right with Woods all season, he will be a huge threat to the American team.Ē

Team USA, has won the tournament three times, while the International team only has one win in the books. A re-match for the captains, this week the teams will be lead by Jack Nicklaus (US) and Gary Player (International).

The first set of captainís pairings will be announced at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday September 21.
