Online Casino Free To Operate In Jamaica
By Andrew Barton
After many months spent by the state trying to prosecute Olympic Sports - who were last year shut down in Montego Bay - the case has collapsed and Olympic are free to operate.

The case against Spiros Athanas, the owner of Olympic Sports, has been dismissed after the prosecution's main witness, Michael Surridge, failed to give testimony. As such, Spiros is now allowed to resume his activities on the proviso that local bets are not taken.

Olympic Sports were initially granted a licence to operate as a telemarketing business from the Montego Bay free zone, but branched out into gambling, taking bets from around the world, including, or so it was alleged, from Jamaica, which was in contravention of the terms of their license.
