|The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has approved a series of regulations to govern the gaming industry.|
The movement and possession of slot machines; ownership of gaming licenses; and ''''junkets,'''' a gaming industry promotional practice will all be covered by the new regulations.
Board chairman, Tad Decker, said: ''''Our number-one goal remains protecting the people of Pennsylvania by licensing only viable, reputable operators who will bring safe, enjoyable and profitable facilities to the state.''''
The Gaming Control Board has also announced that Stephen M. DeFrank, a veteran staffer in the Pennsylvania General Assembly, will be its first legislative liaison.
Decker added: ''''Part of our job is keeping open lines of communications between the Board and the Legislature, and Steve''s long-time service on Capitol Hill will facilitate that kind of dialogue.”
